'Caged' off and away to rocky start

MTV's fighting techinques series "Caged" got off and away to a tough begin in its premiere Monday evening. Skein came only 619,000 total audiences in the 10 p.m. debut and the other 541,000 for any repeat telecast an hour or so later. Within the cabler's specific 12-34 demo, "Caged" obtained a meager .64 rating for that initial telecast. MTV offered a sneak preview of "Caged" at night time a week ago following a premiere from the year of "Jersey Shoreline" and came 1.two million. Cabler is wishing there's a rankings uptick in a few days, once the series will not need to face competition like the BCS nfl and college football championship game that may take away male audiences. "Caged" follows several disparate Louisiana teen boys who might be getting difficult time getting their lives together but find solace and self-affirmation within the ring. Series is professional created by Joke Fincioen, Biagio Messina, Dork Sirulnick and Amy Bailey. Contact Stuart Levine at stuart.levine@variety.com
